CHRIS DE BURG

Christopher J. Davison, aliás, Chris de Burgh, nasceu na Argentina em 1948, onde seu pai era diplomata a serviço do governo inglês. Sua infância foi enriquecida com as viagens e os vários lugares onde viveu devido à profissão de seu pai. Quando tinha 12 anos sua família mudou-se para Emerald Isle, Irlanda, onde Chris vive até hoje com sua esposa e três filhos.

Em 1960, seu pai comprou um castelo antigo "Bargy Castle", construído no século XII. Depois de uma reforma, o castelo foi aberto anualmente, por seis meses, como hotel para famílias. Chris, aos doze anos, fez suas primeiras apresentações para os hóspedes do castelo. Em Dublin, estudando no Trinity College, começou a compor. Mudando-se para Londres em 1971, começou sua carreira e, em 1975 lançou seu primeiro álbum "Far Beyond These Castle Walls..."

Seus principais sucessos são: "Turning Round (Flying)", "A Spaceman Came Travelling", "Patricia The Stripper", "High on Emotion", "The Lady in Red", "Into the Light", "Said Goodbye To It All", "Missing You", "There's Room In This Heart Tonight", "Lebanese Night".
